"KIDS HELPING KIDS"
Missionary Childhood Association

Our Religious Education Program has been sponsoring less fortunate children through the generosity of our own children. Money is collected from each class weekly and sent to help the children
The students in our faith formation process are involved in a sponsorship program helping two children in the Philippines with their educational expenses. Through the UNBOUND Program, we promise $40.00/month for each child's educational expenses. We receive an individual and family profile and throughout the year, our sponsored friends write to us. Some of the children also write to Mikie and Mark Jay and tell a bit about themselves and their life in Ocean City.
The children are encouraged to make personal sacrifices and make their donations for Mark Jay and Mikie. A mission box is passed around each week for their contributions.
Meet Mark Jay
Let us introduce you to Mark Jay Delos Santos.
Mark Jay is a playful 10 year old who is very kind, especially to his young siblings.
He is well-behaved and dependable in all the tasks given to him. His job at home is washing the dishes. He enjoys drawing pictures.
Mark Jay attends primary school. He walks there. He likes to study mathematics. He loves going to class every day. He has received awards during the end of the year ceremony.
Mark Jay's mother and father have two younger girls and the father is
the breadwinner. He is a farmer.
Their home is constructed of bamboo and sheet metal with a concrete floor.
There is electricity in the home and gas for cooking.
They get their water from a relative's well.
Mark Jay sleeps in a shared bamboo bed with a mattress, mat and blankets.
Mark Jay's health is fair. He is malnourished so he attends a feeding program
offered by his school. His family is hoping this program will improve his health.
