Eucharist means "Thanksgiving"
The holiday of Thanksgiving is a favorite for most families. It brings people together who not see each other very often. And the central focus of the gathering is the family meal around the table. It is a very special time but it only lasts one day.
We have a similar opportunity to gather as a Church family each week around the table of the altar to be fed with the Bread of Life, the Eucharist. The Greek word for this gathering is Eucharist. We have the opportunity (and obligation) of gathering together each week to be nourished with spiritual food. Does this provide you with some "food for thought"?

On November 15th, there will be a special Evening of Remembrance at 6:00PM at St. Frances Cabrini Church. All parishioners who have experienced a loss in the last year are invited to gather for this special service. (Details will be in the parish bulletin.
